Another annual game weekend in the books. This session was at Stormbringer's house, and it was an excellent time had by all. Here are some pictures to memorialize the fun times.

SurfMonkey and StormBringer!! And So Many Summer Games!!
Lots of Warhammer Invasion!! I played every Hidden Kingdoms race.
There was even D&D 5E with the Alabama cousins.
Card night with SurfMonkey. Cardfights and Dragonball Super Card Game!
New Crystal Clans clans!
Stormbringer and I finish the Dunwich Legacy...or should I say, it finishes us!!
Introduced StormBringer to the Crystal Clans!
SurfMonkey, StormBringer, and I take down a difficult Dead of Winter scenario!!
I was in the mood for some Power Legion!!
Summer is flying. Trying to get in as many games as I can! Been playing some solo 4 Against Darkness. Even made it to 4 Against the Abyss. We teleported out before the big boss. Might go back in and take it down...if we can find it without dying first! Keep on chucking the dice and slinging the cards! See you next time!!

End of Summer Game Time!
Brigid and Weezoh were in town, so the Starshield Boardgaming Knights met up at Zoltar's house for a night of boardgaming. First up was Dead of Winter, followed by two games of Codenames. We won the Dead of Winter game! I was 1-1 in Codenames.
Games continue to happen at our home game table. I pulled out an old chestnut for Maximan to experience. Dreamblade!!! Still a solid fun game.
Maximan and Jaspersaurus got in some more Imperial Assault. They played an outdoor encounter on one of my D&D playmats. The Imperials and bounty hunters won the day.
Thanks for reading. And I'll see you at the gaming table.

Dead of Winter in the Summer?! You Betcha!

Max wanted to play a game of Dead of Winter. I was very happy to hear that. We set it up and played a co op game over two days. Things were going along pretty well until a survivor attacked a zombie, was bitten, and wiped out the colony. But that's life (and death) during the zombie apocalypse. This game is truly one of my favorites. Can't wait until Max asks to play it again!
Now that summer break is officially here, I am, of course, spending some time with my new current favorite past time: Playing Solo Cardfight! Vanguard. I am currently typing up the solo rules and will post them soon. For now, though, enjoy these images from a couple of the games I have played.
SurfMonkey and I are scheduled for a monthly game night on June 7th, stay tuned for a report on the gaming goodness from that clash of the titans. Until then, sling some cards!!!!

Mage Gets Married: 2nd Edition. And Lazy Saturday CoC LCG
This past Friday, Mage (last featured in this post) got married for the second time. And I must say, he did it right this time. The bachelor party started off with IMStuds, Mage, and I in the Geek Cave with some Dead of Winter. We won! Love this game!
We ran out for lunch and brought Zoltar back with us for more gaming. IMStuds and Mage faced off across the battlefield of Itharia while Zoltar and I had a dog fight. Zoltar won our fight, but it was close. A couple of miscalculated maneuvers turned out to be my doom. We started another scenario in Dead of Winter, but didn't get to finish before the schedule of the agenda of the bachelor party took precedence.
The rest of the bachelor party did not involve games, so now we leave its tale to the mists...
Throughout the past two days, though, Maximan and I got in a game of Epic (can't wait to get the entire game!)
And I managed to get in a game of Call of Cthulhu solo. I played my Hunter deck vs. Cthulhu. I really like the way that game plays. Looking forward to the fall when the weather will inspire the theme.
Hopefully, I can get in some more gaming before school starts. D&D tomorrow, though. That will be great.
Until next time, gamers, keep on gaming!

StormBringer Brings the Dead of Winter
StormBringer stopped by on Saturday for dinner and two rousing games of my Christmas present, Dead of Winter. As readers of my blog know, I am a huge fan of Plaid Hat Games, being that Summoner Wars is my all time favorite game.
Dead of Winter does not disappoint and lives up to all of the hype surrounding this incredible title.
We easily won the first scenario and foolishly tried another scenario on Hard Core mode which pretty much buried us. StormBringer's vaunted luck was tested when he lost characters in both games on his first turn.
Despite the crushing defeat, the game is a fun, immersive experience. Looking forward to my next game of it. Maybe next time we can bring SurfMonkey or KatoKatonian to the table for even more fun.
In other news...
I continue to teach my students how to play this game of games. In addition, Weezoh and Brigid have also purchased it and are loving it. Yayyy!!!
