Summer Gaming and the Return of SurfMonkey!!!

The end of June and through July, despite some unwanted demands on my free time, we have managed to get in a fair amount of gaming! We introduced the Alabama cousins to some good old D&D 5E.

Maximan and I resurrected one of all-time favorites: Call of Cthulhu LCG.

We got in a couple of games of our favorite 3 player expandable card game: Epic!

Always time for some Japanese TCGs! Maximan and I Cardfighting!

I used my Reign of Cthulhu minis for location markers for the penultimate chapter of the Dunwich Legacy campaign for Arkham Horror LCG. This chapter almost killed both investigators, but thanks to my own Pulp Action variations to the Chaos bag, they eked out survival by the barest margins. Then the final chapter found the investigators lost in time and space. Love this game!!

The boys get a little relaxing outside dice rolling in on a family excursion.

I made a triumphant return to SurfMonkey's lair after a too long hiatus. We played the new Monopoly Gamer and a gantlet of DragoBorne TCG games in. Finally feels good to get this upcoming, exciting new TCG to the table in a serious way. Can't wait for my trial decks to arrive in August.

Hopefully, we can resume monthly meet ups to sling cards and roll dice. Bring it on, SurfMonkey!!

In other news, I resumed playing in the online D&D game with the Starshield Gaming Society. It was good to get back into the dungeon!

Until next time, readers, sling those cards and chuck those dice. See you soon!

Summer Game Fun And Return to Origins!!

All four of us took a family trip to Origins Game Fair in Columbus! We stayed with family both nights and had a great time all around. We gamed when we could and met Tom Vasel!

We played Hero Realms at The North Market and Codenames with Aunt Feecha and Uncle Joe!

Kia even got over 20,000 steps on Saturday of the con.

Looking forward to another trip to Origins in the future.

Before leaving for Origins, we got in a lot of gaming. Applesaurus resurrected Warhammer Invasion, and we have been having a blast with it. I finally have been able to explore the neutral factions. My Skaven deck swarmed the board!

Lots of Buddyfight, some Imperial Assault, some Hero Realms, some Cardfight! Vanguard, some solo The Black Hack on my part.

I also bought some boosters and the two new trial decks for Final Fantasy TCG at the Guardtower.

Finally, Applesaurus and I finally got our Dragoborne TCG Demo decks to the table. I am cautiously optimistic about it. I enjoyed our playthrough--enough to pre-order the three trial decks. I hope Bushiroad keeps it supported. Fingers crossed because I am very excited for this game.

That's all for now. I have been in touch with SurfMonkey. Looks like we have scheduled a game night after a hiatus. Also, I am to play Magic with the Little Wizards soon. I'll be back soon, folks. Thanks for reading and until next time, sling those cards and chuck those dice!

Summer Break = More Time for Games!!

Summer break is here! Solo Arkham Horror LCG. I am currently running two solo campaigns. One is Rex and Agnes. The other is my true solo run with Ashcan Pete.

For a change of solo pace, I have broken out the excellent Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu solo. I had a great time playing it. I look forward to my next game of it. I won on easy. Next time, I will play medium. I have also been slowly wanting to break out Eldritch Horror as well.

Much Buddyfight is hitting the table. A new expansion comes out June 16th. Looking forward to beefing up my decks with those cards.

On the horizon is DragoBorne. Bushiroad's English-only trading card game designed by Mike Elliott. I have the demo decks thanks to a generous student. Thanks, Rissa! (Tsundere). I haven't gotten it to the table yet, but I am hoping to soon. It hits the stores in August.

Max and I also got in a couple of skirmishes of Imperial Assault. Great game! We also got in a game of Hero Realms.

Enjoy the pictorial tour through the sessions mentioned above.

That's all for now. Origins in Two weeks! Can't wait! Expect a full report when we return.

Until then, sling some cards and chuck some dice!
