Saturday Afternoon in magehammer's Geek Cave...

Below are two pictures of my first solo game of Cthulhu Rising (I call it vs. the Minion), a solo variant for CoC LCG found here.

My Miskatonic scholars were completely routed. But what fun! The solo variant works like a dream and is sufficiently challenging.

The picture below was from my second game. Almost had Cthulhu. Almost. I had won 2 stories as had Minion. In the end, I just didn't have enough characters to finish.

After a that right proper trouncing, I faced off against Maximillian in Warhammer 40K Conquest. The first game was Chaos vs. Sicarius of the Space Marines. In the end Chaos won.

The second game, the Colonel Straken and the Astra Militarum, swooped down and avenged Sicarius by wiping the floor with the Plague Father. Actually, the game was pretty close. In the end it was The Emperor's Finest that won the day.

  1. I've been following the discussion thread about this solo variant, but haven't taken the time to try it out yet. Your success makes me think I should make time to test it myself.
